AI for image generation: Midjourney, ChatGPT or Gemini

Three subscriptions in our catalogue can make images, and Midjourney isn't always the best choice. The most affordable subscription with generation — Gemini Plus for $3.50 per month, Midjourney Basic — $14.50.

Prices are calculated at today's rate and match the price in the order. Setup in 15–30 minutes, payment in cryptocurrency (USDT).

Plans and generation limits

Limits are a rough guide as of autumn 2026: services change them without announcement, while the price in the table is always today's. Midjourney counts GPU hours rather than images, so its number depends on the mode and size.

Product listings for marketplaces

You need to remove the background, place the product in an interior and not distort the item itself. Nano Banana in Gemini edits your photo instead of drawing something similar from scratch.

Posts and stories for social media

An image with the headline right on it, a series in one style and edits in words like "make it warmer, remove the person on the left". This is the strength of the generator in ChatGPT.

Illustrations and covers

When style and an "expensive" look matter more than precise details. Midjourney is still the benchmark here, and Standard is enough for a regular flow.

The text on a banner has to read without typos. ChatGPT writes text on an image almost without errors; Midjourney still mixes up letters more often.

Why there are three subscriptions for images, not one

The search "AI for images" almost always leads to Midjourney, and understandably so: it was the first to learn to make images you wouldn't be embarrassed to put on a cover. But over two years, generators have appeared inside ordinary text subscriptions, and today three services in our catalogue can make images: Midjourney, ChatGPT and Gemini. They are not interchangeable — each is strong in its own area, and a buyer who takes Midjourney Standard for product listings often overpays for something they won't use.

Briefly, the character of each:

  • Midjourney — the artist. The image looks expensive, the style is recognisable, light and composition set themselves. Weak spots: text on the image, precise following of instructions, and working with your own photo — Midjourney would rather draw "something similar" than edit the original.
  • ChatGPT — the executor. The generator inside ChatGPT understands long instructions, writes readable text on the image, makes a series in one style and edits the result by words: "remove the person on the left, make the background warmer". It looks a little plainer than Midjourney, but it does exactly what you asked.
  • Gemini — the photographer and retoucher. The Nano Banana model in Gemini works with real photographs better than the others: it changes the background, clothes, angle, keeping the face and the object without distortion. Photorealism is its territory; stylised art is not.

Hence a simple rule: first the task, then the service, and only then the plan. The table above shows today's plans and prices; below is the breakdown by task.

Choosing by task in detail

Product listings for marketplaces

A seller's task on Wildberries, Ozon or any other marketplace is not to draw the product but to show their own: remove the background, place it on a table or in an interior, add a shadow, make an infographic. Here it matters that the item stays the same — with the same seams, logo and proportions. Midjourney is poorly suited for this: it generates a new item loosely based on yours. Nano Banana in Gemini edits the original photo and keeps the details, so for listings we would take Gemini Plus, and with a large flow — Gemini Pro. If the listing needs text — size, composition, discount — the final layer is easier to do in ChatGPT or simply in an editor.

Posts and stories for social media

An SMM specialist needs speed and series: ten posts in one style, with the headline right on the image, with edits after approval. ChatGPT Plus covers this in full — the generator understands "do it in the same style as the previous one" and doesn't mix up letters in captions. Plus, the post texts themselves are written in the same subscription, so one payment covers two tasks. Midjourney for social media is justified when the visual is the main thing and the text is overlaid separately.

Illustrations and covers

A book cover, an illustration for an article, a concept for a game, a poster — here style decides, and Midjourney remains the best. Basic is enough to cover one-off tasks: about two hundred images in fast mode per month. Standard is for regular work: several times more fast hours, and in Relax mode generations are not limited at all, you just wait longer. Pro is needed by studios and by those who need Stealth mode — so the images don't end up in the community's public feed.

Avatars and portraits

One face in different guises — a business portrait, fantasy, anime — with the likeness preserved. Gemini does this more precisely than the others, because it starts from your photo. ChatGPT can do it too, but the face "drifts" more often. Midjourney is superb at portraits from a text description, but it will be a portrait not of you but of someone who looks like you.

Banners and creatives with text

An ad banner with a readable headline, a button and a price is the classic pain point of generators. ChatGPT writes text on the image almost without errors and can hold a layout: "logo in the top left corner, price large on the right". Midjourney has got better with text, but letters still sometimes blur, and the banner has to be redone. For creatives we take ChatGPT Plus; if you need dozens of variants a day without slowdowns — Pro.

Commercial rights to images

People ask about rights less often than they should, and for marketplaces and advertising it is the key question.

  • Midjourney. Under the service's terms, the rights to the images created belong to the subscriber of any paid plan, including commercial use. One caveat: companies with annual revenue above one million dollars need Pro or higher. Images on Basic and Standard are published in the public gallery and visible to other users; privacy comes with Stealth mode in Pro.
  • ChatGPT. Under OpenAI's terms, the output belongs to the user and can be used commercially. Caveats: you can't pass an image off as human-made where that is prohibited, and you can't generate images of real people without their consent or of protected characters. The images carry provenance metadata — this doesn't interfere with selling them.
  • Gemini. Google doesn't claim rights to what is created; commercial use is allowed within Google's terms. The images carry an invisible SynthID watermark — it is not visible to the eye and doesn't interfere with publication, but it makes it possible to determine that the image was generated.

A general caveat for all three: copyright in AI-generated output is not yet settled as clearly as for human work in most jurisdictions, so for logos and trademarks it is better to have a designer finish the image. For listings, posts and banners this is not a problem.

What to choose on a minimal budget

Intuition says "Midjourney Basic — it's an image generator after all", and that is often a mistake. Look at the table: Gemini Plus usually costs less than Midjourney Basic, and ChatGPT Plus noticeably less than Midjourney Standard, and both give you not only images but a full AI for text, files and voice. If you need images for posts, listings or banners, one of these two subscriptions will cover the task in full, and a second subscription won't be needed. Midjourney is worth taking deliberately — when you need precisely its style.

If you need both art and everything else, a sensible combination is Midjourney Basic plus ChatGPT GO or Gemini Plus: together this is usually no more expensive than one Midjourney Standard, yet both images and text are covered. The manager @timurjob1 will pick a combination for your budget — describe the task in a couple of words.

Working where access is restricted

The setup with us doesn't require a VPN for any of the three services — the manager does everything. After that it varies.

  • Midjourney works through Discord and its own website; in countries where they restrict access, both open only with a VPN. This is a plain limitation of the service itself, and a subscription can't get around it. If a VPN is inconvenient for you, look at ChatGPT and Gemini.
  • ChatGPT and Gemini in restricted regions also require a VPN for the site and apps — this doesn't affect the account or the subscription itself; access is limited on the service's side by region, not by payment.

The subscription is set up on your account or on a new one created for you: for Gemini we work on the "to the client's email" scheme, for ChatGPT Plus there is the invite-link option where no password needs to be handed over. Details on the ChatGPT and Gemini landing pages.

How the setup works

  1. Choose a service and plan from the table or the guide above and go to the service page — there is a card with a "Buy via Telegram" button, and the order text fills itself in. You can also just message @timurjob1 and name the task.
  2. Pay with cryptocurrency (USDT). The manager confirms receipt in the chat.
  3. Provide access in the service's format: for Midjourney — Discord account login, for ChatGPT — an invite link or login, for Gemini — nothing, the subscription arrives to the client's email.
  4. In 15–30 minutes the subscription is active. Change your password — access was needed only for the duration of the setup.

Renewal and switching services

All three subscriptions with us are monthly (Gemini Plus also has an annual option). Renewal works the same way: message the manager a couple of days before the end of the term. If during the month you realised the service is the wrong one — say, you took Midjourney for listings but needed Gemini — at renewal we switch the service or plan with no surcharge for the change. For Midjourney, the renewal reminder is especially useful: if the date is missed, the service moves the account to the free plan, and generating becomes impossible until the next payment.

The guarantee is valid for the entire paid period: if the subscription drops, we restore it. How the guarantee works and what we do if the service blocked the account itself is on the guarantees page. Detailed plan breakdowns are in the articles what's included in a Midjourney subscription and what's included in a ChatGPT subscription; a comparison with free generators is in the article Midjourney or free AI generators.

FAQ

It depends on the task. Midjourney — style and art for illustrations and covers, ChatGPT — images with readable text and edits by instruction, Gemini (Nano Banana) — photorealism and editing your own photos. The table and the guide above show what to take for each task.
