Which AI to choose: a comparison by task

There is no single AI that beats everyone at everything. ChatGPT is the all-rounder, Claude is stronger in text and code, Gemini in video and Google services, Grok in news, Midjourney draws, Suno writes music, Cursor is an editor for programmers. The table below shows which one handles which task and what we recommend buying.

We set up any of the seven in 15–30 minutes: payment in crypto (USDT), guarantee for the whole term.

Not sure — describe the task to the manager

Tell us what you want to do and your monthly budget: the manager will pick the service and plan, and if you need two, he'll say which ones and in what order to buy them.

Describe the task

Why there is no single best AI

The question "which AI is best" has no answer without specifying the task — much like "which tool is better: a hammer or a screwdriver". The seven services in our catalogue were built by different companies for different scenarios, and each has an area where it is noticeably stronger than the rest and an area it barely touches. The table above shows this row by row; below is the same thing in words, service by service: who it suits and who shouldn't buy it.

The ratings in the table are not benchmarks but our experience from orders and from what people renew their subscriptions for afterwards. If a service got ●●, that doesn't mean it is bad: it copes, there is just someone who copes better. A dash means it doesn't solve the task at all — for example, Midjourney won't write a letter, and Suno won't draw a picture.

ChatGPT — the everyday all-rounder

Who it suits. Those who want one subscription for everything: write a text, analyse a document, explain a topic for studying, generate an image, make a short video in Sora, talk by voice from the phone. ChatGPT remains the most balanced service: it has no weak row in the table, and in studying and everyday tasks it takes first place. It is also the best choice for a first encounter with AI — the interface is the clearest, and most people already know the free trial.

Who it doesn't suit. Those whose main work is long texts and code. In those tasks Claude is more precise: less filler, keeps the style steadier over large volumes, edits other people's code more accurately. If you only need images, Midjourney gives a noticeably better result for the same money. As for plans, Plus is enough for most; GO is for occasional tasks, Pro is for those who hit the limits every day. More about the plans on the ChatGPT page, about the difference between them in the article GO, Plus or Pro.

Claude — texts, code and documents

Who it suits. Copywriters, editors, lawyers, analysts, programmers — everyone who works with large volumes of text and code. Claude accepts long documents in full, keeps the context throughout the conversation and rarely invents things that aren't in the document. In code it is valued for targeted edits: it changes what you asked for instead of rewriting the file from scratch. The Pro plan includes Claude Code — a terminal agent that takes a task in full: read the project, make the edits, run the tests.

Who it doesn't suit. Those who need images, video or voice — Claude has none of that. Be careful with facts too: it has built-in web search, but for fresh news it is weaker than Grok and ChatGPT. If your work is half text, half visuals, the Claude + Midjourney combination costs more than a single ChatGPT, but the result in both tasks will be better. Plans and terms are on the Claude page; an honest comparison with the competitor is in the article ChatGPT or Claude.

Gemini — the Google ecosystem, video and a large context

Who it suits. Those who live in Gmail, Google Docs, Sheets and Drive: Gemini is built into them directly and works with your files without copying back and forth. It is also the only service in the catalogue with full video generation — Veo 3 makes clips with sound and is included in the Google AI Pro plan together with 2 TB on Drive. Gemini has the largest context: you can upload several long documents or an hour-long meeting recording and ask questions about all of it at once.

Who it doesn't suit. Those who don't use Google services: half of the advantages disappear. For pure text and code, Claude and ChatGPT more often give a steadier result. A separate plus for the cautious: the subscription is set up "to the client's email" — you don't need to hand over access to your account. Details on the Gemini page; a breakdown of the pair in the articles Claude or Gemini and ChatGPT or Gemini.

Grok — news, social media and a free tone

Who it suits. Those who value freshness: Grok reads the X feed (formerly Twitter) in real time and sees discussions that aren't in search engines yet. Good for monitoring trends, analysing what is happening right now, and for a conversation without excessive caveats — it refuses to answer sharp topics noticeably less often than the others. Inside is Grok Imagine — image and short video generation.

Who it doesn't suit. Those who expect careful work with long documents or code from an AI — here it falls behind all three above. Images and video in Grok Imagine are a nice addition but not a replacement for Midjourney and Veo. Super Grok has an annual plan — a rarity among AI services; over a year it works out noticeably cheaper than paying monthly. Plans are on the Grok page.

Midjourney — art and illustrations

Who it suits. Designers, marketers, illustrators, cover artists and anyone who needs an image they wouldn't be embarrassed to put in an ad. Midjourney still delivers the best aesthetics out of the box: the style holds from image to image, there are character and style references, an editor and an upscaler. For frequent generations you need at least Standard — Basic has few fast generations.

Who it doesn't suit. Those who need an image once a week — ChatGPT is enough for them, where generation is already included in the subscription. Those who need precise text on the image or strict adherence to a layout — here ChatGPT and Gemini are often more obedient. Plans and the difference between them are on the Midjourney page; a separate breakdown for images is on the AI for images page.

Suno — music

Who it suits. Those who need a track for a video, a podcast, an ad or just for fun: Suno writes a song with vocals from a text description in a minute. Paid plans include commercial rights to the tracks — you can use them in monetised videos. It is the only service in the catalogue that solves the music task, which is why the others have a dash in the "Music" row.

Who it doesn't suit. Anyone who doesn't need music — Suno does nothing else. Plans are on the Suno page.

Cursor — a code editor with AI

Who it suits. Programmers. Cursor is not a chat but an editor based on VS Code with OpenAI, Anthropic and Google models built in: it sees the whole project, edits several files at once, runs commands and fixes errors itself. For daily development this is more convenient than copying code into a chat and back.

Who it doesn't suit. Those who don't write code — Cursor is useless outside the editor. The typical developer combination: Cursor Pro for working in the project plus Claude Pro for complex tasks and Claude Code in the terminal. A detailed breakdown of what a developer should buy and in what order is on the AI for programmers page; the Pro and Pro+ plans are on the Cursor page.

Typical combinations

Most often we set up not one service but two — they cover different tasks and barely overlap.

  • Cursor + Claude — the developer standard: an editor for daily work and Claude for architecture, reviews and long tasks.
  • ChatGPT + Midjourney — the marketer and content creator: texts, posts and scripts in one, images for them in the other.
  • Claude + Gemini — the analyst and manager in Google Workspace: Claude writes documents and reports, Gemini handles email and spreadsheets.
  • ChatGPT + Grok — someone who follows the agenda: analysis and texts in one, fresh news and the mood of social media in the other.
  • Suno + any text service — the video author: ChatGPT or Claude writes the lyrics and the script, Suno makes the music.

If you need two services, order them together: the manager will deliver both in one chat, and renewing later is easier on the same day.

How to choose on a budget

If the monthly budget is limited to one subscription, choose by the main task rather than by the sum of everything: a service that does your main work at ●●● will bring more than an all-rounder at ●● across the board. If there is one task but the budget is small, look at the minimum plans: ChatGPT GO, Midjourney Basic, Gemini Plus. They are cheaper than the standard ones and are enough for infrequent use. If the budget allows two subscriptions, take a combination from the list above rather than two all-rounders: two text services duplicate each other.

The prices of all plans at today's rate are collected on one page — AI subscription prices in USD. There you can also see how much annual payment saves with the services that offer it.

How the subscription is set up

  1. Choose a service and plan on its page or message the manager @timurjob1 — if in doubt, just describe the task.
  2. Pay with cryptocurrency (USDT). You don't need a foreign card of your own.
  3. Provide access in the service's format: ChatGPT Plus has an invite-link option, Gemini is "to the client's email", for the rest — account login for the duration of the setup.
  4. In 15–30 minutes the subscription is active. After the setup, change your password — the subscription stays.

No VPN is needed for the setup. To use some services from countries where they restrict access, you will need one — it depends on the service, and the manager will tell you in advance. The guarantee is valid for the entire paid period; the terms are on the guarantees page.

FAQ

Claude: it keeps the style steadier over long texts and invents less. ChatGPT is barely behind and can also do images and voice — if text is not your only task, take it.
