Is it worth paying extra
- Essential → Extra. The main upgrade: pay extra to unlock a catalog of hundreds of games. Pays off if you finish at least four or five games a year.
- Extra → Deluxe. Adds PS1, PS2, PSP classics and trial versions of new releases. Modern games in the catalog doesn't stack — this is the main reason for disappointment after an upgrade.
- Deluxe → Premium. The only difference is cloud streaming, available only in Poland and the US. If you play on your own console, the extra cost isn't worth it.

When It's Cheaper to Wait Out the Term Instead of Upgrading
The remaining balance is recalculated at the official store price, not ours. If you have a month or two left, it's often cheaper to finish it and then buy a new plan — especially in a cheap region. Tell us your current plan and target, we'll calculate both options.

What happens to the remaining subscription time when upgrading
It doesn't expire. Sony recalculates unused days at the new plan's price and deducts the difference — the term shortens proportionally. That's Sony's rule, not ours.
Can I upgrade from Essential straight to Deluxe
Yes, you don't need to go tier by tier. The difference is calculated straight to the top level.
Can I downgrade my plan
Not in the middle of a paid term. Downgrading only takes effect when the current term ends: then simply subscribe to the lower tier.
Catalog games remain if you later switch back to Essential
No. The Extra and Deluxe catalog is only available on those plans. If you downgrade to Essential, catalog games stop working, but saves remain.
Upgrade changes the subscription end date
Yes, it usually shortens it: the remaining time is recalculated at the higher plan's rate. Sony shows the exact new date before you confirm.
