YouTube without ads: a Premium subscription when your card is declined

The official way to remove ads on YouTube is a YouTube Premium subscription on your Google account. A month today costs $8.50, payment in cryptocurrency (USDT), activation in 15–30 minutes.

Along with the ads, three more problems go away: video plays in the background with the screen off, clips download into the app, and YouTube Music works without ads. The subscription doesn't fix YouTube throttling in your region — that is a different problem, covered plainly below.

What gets in the way — and what changes with Premium

The search "YouTube without ads" is almost never about ads alone. Here is what people come with and which of it the subscription covers.

Ads before and in the middle of a video
No ads on every device signed in to your account: phone, computer, TV
Video stops when the screen goes dark or the app is minimised
Background playback: audio keeps going with the screen off and in other apps
Nothing to watch on the subway or a plane
Downloading videos and playlists to the app, watching offline
You pay a separate service for music
YouTube Music Premium is included in the subscription: no ads, background play, offline
Ads in the kids and TV apps
Premium works in YouTube Kids and on Smart TV, where an ad blocker cannot be installed

Premium or an ad blocker

An ad blocker in the desktop browser handles the ads, and it is a fine choice if you only watch YouTube there. The difference starts on the phone and the TV: extensions don't work in the apps, and background play, downloads and YouTube Music are things a blocker simply can't give you.

How it is set up

  • The subscription is connected to your Google account: history, channel subscriptions and recommendations stay.
  • The term is one month, with renewal by the same scheme closer to the end. We do not set up the family plan: the catalog only has the individual subscription.
  • Guarantee for the paid month: if Premium drops before the end of the term, we restore or replace it. The only exception is the Google account itself being blocked.
  • Payment: cryptocurrency (USDT). Details on the methods — paying for YouTube Premium without a foreign card.

What ad-free YouTube is called

Officially, ads on YouTube are turned off in one way — with a YouTube Premium subscription. There is no separate "ad-free version" or setting in the app: Premium is enabled on a Google account, and after that the ads disappear everywhere that account is signed in — on the phone, in the browser, on the TV, on the console and in YouTube Kids.

If you searched for "youtube without ads" and landed here, most likely the ads are only the most visible of the problems. The subscription has three more features that are rarely searched for by name but are constantly missed: background playback, video downloads and an ad-free music service. Below is what exactly this means in practice, how the subscription differs from an ad blocker, and how it is set up when direct payment is not available to you.

What YouTube Premium actually gives you

  • No ads on any device. No pre-roll inserts, no pauses in the middle, no banners. Works on every device where you are signed in to your account, including the TV and the phone app — the places where an ad blocker cannot be installed.
  • Background playback. The audio keeps going with the screen off and the app minimized. Lectures, podcasts, interviews and music play like in an audio player, and the phone does not need to be kept on.
  • Downloads. Videos and entire playlists are saved to the app and watched without a connection — on the subway, on a plane, at a country house with bad internet. The download quality is chosen when saving.
  • YouTube Music Premium. A full music service is included in the subscription: ad-free, with background play and offline mode. If you currently listen to music on YouTube, this replaces a separate streaming subscription; if you are choosing between music services, the comparison of YouTube Premium and Spotify will help.
  • Small things you notice every day: picture-in-picture on the phone, enhanced 1080p bitrate where available, skipping to the interesting part with a double tap.

A full itemized list, including the "On the go" mode and the subscription's limitations, is gathered in the article what is included in YouTube Premium. One thing matters here: all the items are enabled by a single subscription, nothing needs to be bought separately.

Premium and throttled YouTube: honestly

This is the most frequent question in the chat, and the answer is straightforward. YouTube Premium does not speed up video loading and does not bypass network throttling. That is a different problem: throttling works at the network level between you and YouTube's servers, while the subscription works at the level of your account. If videos load slowly or get stuck at 360p, Premium will not change that, and we will not promise otherwise.

What the subscription does change when the network is slow — indirectly, but noticeably. First, the ads go away, and on a slow connection they take longer to load than the video itself. Second, downloads: wherever there is internet, videos are loaded into the app in advance and watched later without a connection and without worrying about speed. For many people this is the working way to watch YouTube on a throttled network — on the road, at a country house, while traveling. Third, background playback: when the sound matters and not the picture, a 360p video stops being a problem.

Look for a fix for the speed problem separately, and take Premium for what it actually gives. That way expectations match the result.

Premium or an ad blocker

Ad blockers are a legitimate tool, and in a desktop browser they handle YouTube ads, although YouTube periodically changes how ads are served, and extensions need time to catch up. If you only watch YouTube at the computer and want nothing else from it, an ad blocker solves the task for free, and it is only fair to admit that.

The difference begins where the browser ends:

  • On the phone, extensions do not work in the official app. The workarounds — third-party app builds or modified clients — live until the next update, cannot do anything from Premium, and are installed bypassing the app store.
  • On the TV and console, there is nowhere to install an ad blocker at all: ads in the Smart TV app play as they are, several in a row.
  • Background play, downloads and YouTube Music an ad blocker cannot provide in principle: these are server-side account features, not a banner cut out of a page.
  • YouTube Kids and family viewing: ads in the kids app are removed only by the subscription.

In total, an ad blocker closes one item out of five, and only on one type of device. If you have YouTube on your phone and TV — as most people do — the comparison ends on the first screen.

What our setup includes

The subscription is set up on your Google account — the one you already use. Watch history, channel subscriptions, playlists and recommendations stay in place; only the account's tier changes. No new account needs to be created, nothing needs to be transferred.

The scheme is monthly. There is one item in the catalog — YouTube Premium for 1 month, which is exactly what you see in the card above. Renewal follows the same scheme: closer to the end of the month, you message the manager, pay, and the subscription is connected again. The convenience is that you only pay for the months when YouTube is actually needed; the renewal procedure and what to do if the month has already ended are in the article how to renew YouTube Premium.

We do not set up the family plan. YouTube Premium Family for five people exists, but it is not in our catalog, and we will not promise it: if several family members need Premium on their accounts, each is set up separately as an individual subscription. There is no student plan either — it requires proof of enrollment through a partner service, which does not work for universities in many countries.

About the guarantee — honestly: YouTube Premium is the only item in the catalog where restoration is not guaranteed. Google checks the payment region more strictly than other services, and if the subscription drops off before the end of the term, the manager will suggest options in the same chat where the order was placed, but we will not promise a restoration. Before the order is completed, the refund is in full. This is exactly why the setup is monthly: you risk one month, not a year. Details on the guarantees page.

Payment when your card is declined

If Google does not accept your card and the account region does not allow choosing another method, YouTube Premium cannot be paid for directly. That is why the subscription is set up through us, with payment in a way that works regardless of your bank:

  • cryptocurrency (USDT) — the manager sends the wallet details and confirms receipt in the chat.

The manager sends the payment details after confirming the order; before paying, you know the exact contents and delivery time. A comparison of this method with virtual foreign cards and gift codes is in the article paying for YouTube Premium without a foreign card: each option has its own price and its own set of risks, and setup on your account is the shortest path without opening new cards.

How the connection works

  1. Message @timurjob1 that you need YouTube Premium for a month — or press "Buy on Telegram" in the card above, and the text fills in by itself.
  2. Pay for the order in cryptocurrency (USDT). The manager confirms receipt.
  3. Send the login and password for your Google account; if two-step verification is on, the confirmation code. The details are needed only for the duration of the connection.
  4. In 15–30 minutes the subscription is active: the ads are gone, background play and downloads work, YouTube Music opens without ads.
  5. Check Premium in your account settings and change your password — access remains with you alone.

An order paid late in the evening is taken into work after opening — the manager will let you know about this in the chat.

What to check after connection

  • Open any video in the phone app: there is no ad before it, and the Premium badge is visible in your profile.
  • Minimize the app — the sound keeps playing. If not, check that the phone is signed in to the same account.
  • On the TV, sign out of the account and sign in again — the Smart TV app does not update the subscription status immediately.
  • Download one video offline to make sure downloads are enabled.

If any of this does not work, write in the order chat: we will sort it out the same day. All streaming subscriptions for buyers whose cards are declined are gathered in the streaming section, and the YouTube Premium landing page itself, with terms and questions, is on the YouTube Premium page.
