Gift Telegram Premium by username

Gifting Premium to a friend and getting it for yourself is the same service with us: the subscription is delivered as a gift to an @username. Gift for 3 months — $17, a year comes to $3.50 per month.

Only the recipient's username is needed. The gift notification arrives in 5–15 minutes; no need to log into any account — neither yours nor theirs.

Send the recipient's username and the term — the manager @timurjob1 will reply within a couple of minutes

Gift terms and prices

Prices are calculated at today's rate and match the price in the order. The longer the term, the cheaper the month. If the recipient bought Premium themselves and it is still active, the gift will not apply until it ends — ask for the date or wait; if their Premium was a gift, the terms add up.

What you need for a gift

  1. The recipient's username in the @username format — it is shown in their profile. A phone number, a name or an avatar link won't do.
  2. Term: 3, 6 or 12 months from the table above.
  3. Payment: cryptocurrency (USDT).

A gift to yourself is a renewal: when the terms add up and when you have to wait for the current subscription to end — renew Telegram Premium; what the subscription gives and how it is delivered — Telegram Premium page.

Why a gift and a purchase for yourself are the same thing

Telegram has a built-in "gift Premium" feature: one user pays for the subscription, and it is activated for another — by username. The gift arrives to the recipient as a system notification, the subscription turns on immediately, and for this you do not need to know the person's phone number, password or SMS code. This is exactly how we deliver Telegram Premium to all buyers: you give us the @username — we set up a gift for it.

A simple consequence follows. "Gift to a friend," "gift to my wife for her birthday" and "buy for myself" are, for us, one and the same order, in which only the username differs. If the username is yours, Premium appears for you. If it is a friend's, for the friend. The price, delivery time and guarantee are the same; there is no separate "gift" markup: the table above shows exactly what you will pay.

It is also convenient for you because the gift does not require the recipient's participation. They do not need to press anything, enter a promo code or confirm a payment — Premium simply turns on, and a message about the gift appears in their chat with Telegram. You can gift the subscription to someone who did not ask for it and does not even know what it is: they will not have to deal with any settings.

How to find the recipient's username

The username is a string like @username in the user's profile, not their name and not their phone number. There are three ways to find it.

  1. In the profile. Open a chat with the person, tap the name at the top — the profile card has a "Username" line with an @ in front. Copy that.
  2. From a link. If the person has ever sent a link to themselves like t.me/username, the part after the slash is the username.
  3. Ask. The most reliable way if the gift is not a surprise: "send me your Telegram username." People change usernames fairly often, and an old link from a year-old conversation may lead to a different person.

What will not work: a phone number, first and last name from contacts, a link to an avatar, an ID from third-party bots. If the person has no username at all (it happens — the "Username" field is empty), ask them to set one in the settings: it takes half a minute and changes nothing in their account except that a t.me/… address appears.

Before payment, the manager checks that a live account is found by the username and shows you the name and avatar — so you can make sure the gift goes to the right person and not a namesake. This is always worth doing: an activated gift can no longer be revoked.

What the recipient sees

Within 5–15 minutes after payment, three things happen for the recipient. A message appears in their chat list saying they have been gifted Telegram Premium for such-and-such a term. The Premium badge turns on next to their name. All subscription features — limits, download speed, no ads in channels, emoji statuses, message translation — start working immediately, without logging out and back in.

The buyer's name does not appear in the notification: the setup is done from our side, not from your account. So the gift is anonymous by default. If you want the person to know who the Premium is from, simply tell them yourself; if you want to keep it a surprise, they will see only the fact of the gift and the term.

The recipient will not see your payment details either — they are not in Telegram at all. You send the money to us, not to Telegram, and the recipient receives nothing about it.

If the person already has Premium

Here it is important to know exactly how it was set up. If the recipient bought Premium themselves — in the app or through @PremiumBot — and the subscription is still active, Telegram does not accept a gift until it ends: the server responds with the error PREMIUM_SUB_ACTIVE_UNTIL, and gifting is blocked until the date the current subscription expires. The terms do not add up, but the money does not go anywhere either — the gift simply is not processed. If, however, the recipient's current Premium was itself a gift — from you last time, through us, or from someone else — a gift can be sent on top of it: the terms are combined into one; two weeks left becomes two weeks and three months.

In practice, before paying it is worth answering two questions: does the person have Premium now, and if so, did they buy it themselves. If they bought it themselves and it is still active, the gift will not apply until it ends — ask them for the date or wait for it. We can wait for you: pay now, name the date, and the gift will go out right after it, like any gift for a date. If it is a surprise and you cannot ask, the manager will try to send the gift right away; when Telegram returns a block, we tell you about it and either hold the gift until the end date or refund the money — your choice, activating nothing without your decision.

A separate case is auto-renewal from a foreign card. If the recipient's subscription was set up through the App Store or Google Play with a linked foreign card, it is active and renews on its own schedule, and a gift will not apply to it until it ends either. For buyers whose cards Telegram has stopped accepting, this scenario is now rare: since April 2026, payments in @PremiumBot with cards from a number of countries no longer go through, and most subscriptions set up officially there have already ended or are ending. For exactly those people, a gift by username is the working way to renew: details on the renew Telegram Premium page.

A gift for a date: birthday, New Year

Telegram activates a gift at the moment it is sent — there is no delayed delivery. But this is easily solved through the manager: write the date and time (with your time zone), pay in advance, and the gift will go out at the appointed moment rather than right away. That way Premium appears for the person on the morning of their birthday, not three days before it.

What is worth taking into account:

  • The subscription term counts from the moment of activation, not from payment. If a 12-month gift goes out on December 20, it will end on December 20 of the following year.
  • For a surprise, confirm the username in advance and ask the manager to check the account — on the day of the celebration there will be no time to deal with a typo.
  • If you want to attach a message to the gift, send it yourself right after the notification: the system message about the gift does not contain any text from the giver.

Which term to gift

The choice between three, six and twelve months is a matter of the price per month and how much the person uses Telegram.

  • 3 months — a trial gift. Suitable if you are not sure the person needs Premium: they will have time to see whether they notice the difference, and it can be renewed later the same way.
  • 6 months — the middle: a month comes out cheaper than in the three-month option, while the sum still feels like a gift rather than an annual payment.
  • 12 months — the best value per month, and the person will not have to think about renewing for a whole year. This is the most frequent choice for loved ones who live in Telegram: read dozens of channels, download files, use folders.

The "Gift terms and prices" table above shows the difference in today's figures; prices in articles and screenshots go stale, here they are recalculated at the exchange rate automatically.

Honestly about a gift from abroad

Sometimes people ask whether the recipient is at risk: the subscription was paid for not by them, not from their country and not with their card — will it drop off, will the account get banned. No. A Premium gift is an official Telegram feature that has existed since late 2022 and is expressly designed so that one person pays for another's subscription, wherever that person is. Telegram does not tie the gift to the recipient's country and does not check who paid for it. This is not a gray scheme and not a way around restrictions: we use the same "gift" button as any user in the app.

How a gift differs from the "cheaper" schemes:

  • Handing over a login and password is needed when an intermediary sets up the subscription from inside the account. For Premium this is unnecessary: a gift by username gives the same result without access to your messages. If somewhere you are asked for a code from Telegram "to activate Premium" — that is not an activation.
  • Changing the account region to Pakistan or India for a cheap price in @PremiumBot requires a foreign number and a working card from that country; for a gift nothing needs changing, the recipient keeps their number and their region. Why prices differ so much by country is explained in the article on cheap Telegram Premium regions.
  • Paying with Stars is possible, but the Stars also have to be bought with something, and with a card that is declined it is the same dead end.

The price in dollars in the table is made up of the subscription price in the country of setup, the exchange rate at the moment the page is built, and our work with a guarantee for the entire term. What the subscription includes and what the price consists of is in the article on Telegram Premium prices and plans.

How to order

  1. Press "Gift on Telegram" — a chat with @timurjob1 opens with ready-made text. Enter the recipient's username and the term. Or choose the term in the card above and order through the cart.
  2. The manager will check the account by username and show the name and avatar — confirm that it is the right person.
  3. Pay in cryptocurrency (USDT). If the gift is for a date, write the date and time.
  4. Within 5–15 minutes after payment (or at the appointed moment), the recipient receives a gift notification. The manager sends you a confirmation.

The guarantee covers the entire paid term: if the subscription disappears before its time, we restore it. Full terms are on the guarantees page. And if you are choosing between a Telegram and a Discord subscription for a gamer friend — Discord Nitro can also be gifted as a link, and the blog has a comparison of the two subscriptions.
